I have had the opportunity to spend most of my adult life as a coach and a teacher. For 15 years I was involved in high school administration, 7 years as a vice-principal (Sept 97 – June 2004) and 8 years (Sept 2004 – June 2012) as principal. In of the fall of 2012 I moved to a position of district principal in the Grande Prairie Public school district working out of central office. In the spring of 2013, I accepted a position as Assistant Superintendent of the Westwind School Division in Southwest Alberta. I will be retiring from Westwind in the summer of 2018 and will be taking up a new position as the Executive Director of the Southern Alberta Professional Development Consortium.
I completed a Doctorate of Education in July of 2017 focusing on leadership and leadership development.
Having been in Japan on a mission from 1978-1980 I returned on Feb 9, 1980, and about 5 hours later was engaged to my wife Chauna, we were patient and got married 7 weeks later on March 28, 1980. New book and website on Autism
Hi Rick,
I am messaging you in case you may be interested.
My new business partner is writing a book named Remapping The Neurotransmitters.
He and I have had the same dream of creating a website for Autism in order to help families and professionals to help people (children, youth and adults) with Autism and Asperger’s throughout their lives.
We intend to launch our Website named “Avid Autism Advocates .com” within the next 60 days. Our subject matter will be overflowing with scientific information, personal blogs, video blogs, encyclopedia of Autism terminology, information on diets, etc.
I will be making 4 visual manuals grouped by ages – diagnosis to 5 years old, 5 years old to 10 years old, 10 to 15 years old, and 15 to 20 years old.
My partner and I want to provide help and information to make life easier on the Spectrum. ~ Marion Pusey and Michael Forbus
If you are interested in being notified when the book is released and the website is launched please send me your email address.
Thank you for your interest.

Hi Rick,
I served my mission with your parents in Wainwright. I’m sorry to hear about your father passing (late I know). Is there any chance I could get some contact info for your mother? I’ve been thinking about them a lot lately and would appreciate any help.
God Bless,
John
